This is the stuff champions are made of... Way to go girls! Attention Working Moms... Professional Personal Training I am a very busy working mom with two young boys. Over the last few years I have had little to no time to breathe let alone take time for myself to exercise. I really thought that getting back into shape would never happen for me. I finally decided that I had to make time for me and my own health and well being so I started walking and using exercise videos. A few months into it I noticed very little change overall and became frustrated after spending my time and energy with nothing to really show for it. I came to the realization that I needed guidance to figure out what would really work for me to produce the kind of results I was looking for. I decided to hire Joe Green at Fit For You as my personal trainer to help me. I quickly realized that I was doing all of the wrong exercises and that I was wasting tons of time. Jennifer Tanner I Made The Right Choice. . . Fitness Classes & Nutrition My name is Dolores Liptak and I am a 64 year old retired management consultant. I was looking to reach all of my health and fitness goals. I wanted to lose weight, increase my strength and with summer fast approaching I was also interested in reducing my waist size. I chose Joe based upon a referral from a friend who utilized him, looked terrific and highly recommended him as someone who really "knew his stuff." I am happy to say that over the past year I have lost 18 pounds and I feel so much better in my clothes and my energy has absolutely improved. I feel better especially now that I have been able to discontinue my cholesterol medicine and certain other arthritis medicines. I have used Joe's expertise in various ways. I have worked with him privately for personal training and nutrition and I have been through a boot camp and very much enjoy his total body fitness classes which I attend on average three times a week. Dolores Liptak "I Found The Perfect Solution For Osteopenia" Women's Fitness Programs March 14, 2008 I have been on a mission for the last 2 years at least to build muscle and strengthen my bones. In 2005 the Dr. did a heel bone density and it came out to –1.6. My doctor wanted to prescribe Actonel, I refused at that time. In February 2006 I had a full bone density test and the results were not good. The overall rating was -3.6 and I was diagnosed with osteopenia. I have always participated in some type of exercise along with regular walking. My doctor convinced me that I really needed to take Actonel, so I did. I took it for about 10 months and then stopped taking it. I just didn't like all the side affects and was not convinced that this was the answer. I started using the Highmark Fitness Center in late 2005 thru January 2007, which consisted of using equipment to build muscle. As a Blue Shield retiree the Fitness Center was free for me, so if it was working that was OK. However, I became very bored with it. For Christmas in 2006 my daughter gave me a gift certificate for classes at 'Fit For You' with Joe Green. She had been going and really liked the classes. So I decided to try it out in February 2007 and have been going ever since. I just had a full bone density test on March 10, 2008, and there has been improvement to a rating of -3.1. That's 5 points to the good, which it is said that it's difficult to reverse these numbers. However this number needs to continue to increase to at least a -2.0. I attribute all my accomplishments and success to Joe Green. He makes it fun and non-routine, I always look forward to each and every class. When I started last February, 3 pound weights were heavy for me, now I can work with 8 pound weights with ease. I have gained more strength and muscle by his workouts than any machine could do. I know that fitness classes will be necessary for the rest of my life and I plan to continue these with Joe. He is an excellent trainer, Thanks Joe! Kay Brinkley I'm Better, Faster And Stronger Sports Specific Training I am 17 years old attending school as an 11th grader at Cedar Cliff H.S. I am involved in school activities, community service and my church. School activities include Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Soccer, NHS, NAHS, NLHS, Student Council, Chorus, Class Secretary, several clubs, and the school musical from program design, to sets, to performing. I also play Club Volleyball and Club Soccer. My interest in working with Fit For You Fitness Pros began after Joe's Youth Sports Mini-Training Camp for the 2008 Cedar Cliff High School Girls' Varsity Volleyball Team. I felt the results and immediate improvement and realized the personal benefit of the training so I signed on to stay in peak condition all year–round. No doubt, I am in the best physical shape ever. I've always been really active motivated in my desire to play sports but I needed something more to be the best I could be especially with playing soccer in college as one of my top goals. I have truly elevated my game to a whole new level and it really feels good to know that I am in the best shape of my life. My coaches have both realized and commented on my improved physical conditioning and overall play so now I am getting more quality playing time and I am leading the team. My parents and coaches have commented that my personal self-confidence and determination has really improved a lot. Women's Fitness Programs Since I started working with Joe I have found a brand new "me." I love what I see now when I look in the mirror. Of course everyone always wants to look even better no matter how good they look but my friends and doctor have all told me how fantastic I look. Leah Kleiman "Fitness Can Be Fun" Professional Personal Training & Nutrition My mother and sister both have severe osteoporosis so my family history raised issues of concern for me. I no longer liked the way that I felt or how I looked in my clothes and I had been thinking for some time about joining a fitness center, but didn't feel I would utilize the facilities or that I would get enough personal attention. Clinical Exercise / Wellness & Nutrition As I near the two-year anniversary of those dreaded words "You have Parkinson's," I am taking some time to reflect upon the journey. It took months to tell my family because I didn't want to have Parkinson's. I tried a second opinion, hoping for better news, but to no avail. Eventually, and I am not sure when the turning point occurred, I had to deal with the diagnosis. And so I have learned all I can about the disease, commiserated with others with PD, formed a truce with my neurologist and accepted help and support from others. You are one of the people who have supported me. I know that I am getting stronger under your guidance, and I feel better physically than I have in a year. My left leg no longer drags and walking has become much easier. I take your advice seriously and rarely miss a day's work out. The nutritional advice that you occasionally contribute is also appreciated. Eliminating salt, increasing my water intake and eating a banana a day helped my edema. You are aware of the most current research in PD and it is a pleasure to share information with you. As I worked through changing medications you told me about the positive experiences of your other clients while reminding me that each PD patient is different. You push me each visit to work a little bit harder, and you seem to know how hard to push. Neither one of us pretends to know what the future holds; yet we remain positive and hopeful. Clinical Exercise / Wellness & Nutrition I am pleased to enthusiastically recommend the professional services of Fit For You Personal Training and Nutrition in the person of Joe Green. I consider it a fortuitous opportunity to prolong my life by significantly improved health and fitness as a result of my wife's meeting an old friend who recommended Joe. I am a fifty-nine year old professional who was forced to retire from a successful law practice last year because of my inability to handle stress as a result of many significant health problems. In addition to my family physician, I have been under the care of a cardiologist, endocrinologist and neurologist for Parkinson's disease, diabetes and coronary artery disease and thus I am symptomatic as to all three with the necessity of taking twenty-three different medications each day. I decided to look into working with Joe based on the high recommendation of a friend who also plays soccer for a different high school team. I wanted personal training instead of group training to get all I could out of working on my sports conditioning, strength and game time play. I knew that the exercises and things I did in my twenties were not going to work for me any longer. I was considering personal training when a friend referred me to Fit For You so I researched the program and talked to Joe about my personal fitness goals. It was clear to me that this program was going to be different in that my exercise and nutrition program would be customized to fit me and my lifestyle. I travel approximately 5 miles from my office to Fit For You two days a week unless I am able to make it to one of their fitness classes. October 22, 2010 I needed something different because I was tired of doing the old gym routine, feeling uncomfortable and getting no results from my workouts. I needed something more this time around. I wanted to increase my strength and gain muscle tone. I really wanted to look better in my clothes and feel better overall. So far my experience has been tremendous. I've lost almost 15 inches!! My clothes are fitting better and I'm wearing clothes that I haven't been able to wear in a very long time.
